I'm thinking about purchasing an Echo 25.4cc ProLite backpack gas blower.
Anyone out there have or use one now? If so I'd like to get your opinions on this unit and how you rate it.
I have slightly more than an acre and have used only hand held gas or electric blowers on this site over the past 16 years. Gas was good for getting to all areas in my yard, but electric is definitely lighter and easier to handle. My last electric burned out last week! This Echo blower weighs only 14.5 lbs., so I thought it wouldn't be much heavier than the electric and would sit on my back instead of my carrying it in my hand. I'm hoping it wouldn't be too heavy or awkward to use, even with gas in it. Does anyone know how long I can expect a full tank of gas to last? Each week it took me about 1 1/2 hours to use my electric B&D Mulch & Vac before it went belly-up.
