Default Uniforms

A while back a member recomended a Uniform Service to me, but the thread was deleted. Do any of you have any recomendations for uniform services? (create uniform, deliver, pick up, clean) Thanks.

Nick,

Look in your yellow pages under uniforms. That will be your best bet. If you did not want them cleaned professionally, Sam's Club used to make them. I am not sure if they still do.

Default what type of uniforms? make them yourself?

With so many graphic programs and iron on transfers out there, why couldn't you make your own shirts etc?
What types of uniforms do you guys run for your businesses? I have been totally informal in the way i dress because it's been so incredibly hot out (the same with the rest of the country i know) Usually wearing A-shirts (beaters), and blue jean shorts.

I just went down to the print shop, and had them make me some t-shirts with my logo on the back and the front left chest. Dark green (and grey) shirts with khaki work pants or jeans (the khakis are cooler) are what my uniforms consist of. If I think about it I will post some pictures of them when I get home.

Question Shorts or pants?

When it's been hot out this summer, i've mostly worn shorts and cut off t-shirts. Not grungy, or dirty. But you guys wear pants? I like to wear pants because of trimming, what's your all concenses on pants vs. shorts?

We wear pants all the time. I have one day that is dedicated to all of my personal friends and families yards, and my guys do them on fridays. on that day I allow them to wear shorts, but other than that, it must be pants or jeans.

Just keep alot of water, and make sure that you drink it. I have one guy who seems to forget that he is thirsty, and then gets sick to his stomach. I also keep a cooler full of ice and water and throw some rags in there. i use them to cool off with also

Thumbs down Uniforms

Hey its been a while since i last replied to anything, but the uniform subject is right up my alley. I worked for a uniform company in St. Louis for four long years. Uniform companies come up with some of the most rediculous charges and most of the time will not take seasonal businesses. If they do take you there is a higher charge, but they wont tell you that. My advise is to go out and buy shirts and have them screen printed. I did just that and now i have can coolies and hats and all kinds of stuff done and the more you get to know a LOCAL small mom and pop shop the better the deals they will give you.

Thumbs up

Just filling you in on this thread as well...I decided to go with Sam's Club's uniforms....AMAZING. They are real quick and the uniforms look AWESOME. I also decided to get my partner and I jackets for winter and a hat or two for the extra sunny days. I HIGHLY RECOMEND Sam's Club's Embroidery Services to EVERYONE. By the way...with us wearing uniforms, we receive comments all the time about how professional we look.

Default uniforms

Employees and me wear t-shirts that are screen printed alot cheaper. Also have to wear blue jeans. However I have not had any complaints. I have asked all my big professional accounts if it matters to them and they usually tell me the t-shirts are fine. I have 2 different colors dark green for employees and light green for supervisors. Cost more money to use uniforms alot of trouble and headaches.
