I am starting a land care business from scratch. I am trying to do as much research and planning as possible before I "take the plunge" I have no equipment and I want to get an idea of how much of an investment equipment will be.

MY QUESTION IS: Is it ok to buy any type of equipment at Home Depot, Lowes, or any of the Mega Stores?
Or should I go to landscaping equipment specialty stores?

Or is some equipment ok to buy there and some not? I figure any non-power tools such as shovels, picks. clippers, etc. should be ok to buy where ever. But what about power tools; mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedgers?
