Default I have a few questions about starting out. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated!

Hello to all, I am a serious but struggling worker who recently left a secure $50,000+ year job to have a life. I have decided to try my hand in several different things. First and formost, I am seriously thinking of starting my own lawn care business and I have the mower (zero turn great dane/chariot) and the drive to make it happen (I hope). I need some advice on exactly how to get the yards easily as I am having trouble getting customers interest and lawn season is only a couple of weeks away. I got the business cards and plan on doing the flyers. I have done a little door to door but with not much success. I am in a fairly good location with three large cities within 15-25 minutes and a lot of nice subdivisions around. Maybe you guys have advice on what to say to potential customers. Or am I starting too early? Is there anything I need to look for when picking a yard, such as very nice landscaping probably means they dont want/need any services? Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

sounds like you and i both are having the same issue ,but i tihnk the main thing is if you see a yard that is well maintained by compitition and you talk to the home owner i try to offer the same service a little cheaper if you cant do it cheaper you just cant move on to the next yard some one will give you a shot and when you get your chance wow them do every thing your comp. dose plus a few little things he dose'nt not ot much save some work for later.
on this one house the comp would cut trim and edge for $45,i offered to do the same thing but for that price i will bag and blow.(how much longer dose that take ?)so i got the job. after that all i did was bring there trash to the curb and she was like wow,and later that day i got a call from one of there neighbors to give them a quote
