If i am mowing a business for 400.00$ a month in the summer in florida do i cut that price in half in the winter month since im only mowing it twice a month.

Kendal, when you go to bid the account. You let the owner know that this is the year around price. Tell them you will be there weekly in summer and bi weekly in winter. Let them know we will be on your property about 42 times a year on average. So if you multiply the monthly price by 12 and then divide that price by 40 or 42 that will give you your price per cut. I have been doing lawn care here in St Pete for 17 years. I didn’t start bi weekly mowing till about 8 years ago. Hope that helps? Stefan

I have just one more question though. How much do i charge for hedge trimming? I have a customer that wants to have her hedges trimmed but i dont have a clue how to charge her as i want to be consistant with the way im charging customers.

If your not including the hedges with your monthly service. I would figure out how long it will take you to trim, rake up and if your hauling the brush away you should charge an extra dump fee. I charge my customers $30 an hour. Non-customers I charge $35. Don’t sell your self-short. Bushes take time to make them look good. Stefan

Thanks again Stefan you have been a huge help. I have one more question and i will leave you alone. When i do someones mulch do i charge the $22 for every 3 cu. ft. or do i still charge by the hour? This is my first job and i want to get it right with the shrubs and mulch pricing.
