I too have had experience with Shindaiwas and have found them to be very robust,my only problem with these machines was by the end of the day I would have a burn on my elbow. At the time I was running my friends business and all he runs are Shindaiwas mowers and weedeaters, doing about 24 lawns a day (average lawn $28).I personally run echos no burns,no problems. On all my equipment I do all servicing.Programed once aweek.
Even though this takes time away from work.I get to know my machines and it saves my clients money.
Thanks Lindsay from New Zealand

I JUST PURCHASED A ECHO 260 MULTI ATTACHMENT, AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD LUCK SO FAR. WHEN I PURCHASED THE 260 POWER HEAD I ALSO GOT THE EDGER AND TRIMMER ATTACHMENTS. THIS SO FAR THIS HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL MACHINE. I CAN CHANGE THE ATTACHMENTS VERY FAST AND START DOING SOMETHING ELSE. I PAYED ABOUT $510.00 FOR EVERYTHING. THIS MACHINE PROBABLY WOULD NOT THE BEST THING FOR SOMEBODY WITH A LARGE CREW, BUT FOR ME ITS PERFECT. I LOOKED AT BUYING A WEEDEATER AND EDGER SEPERATE AND IT WAS GOING TO COST ME ABOUT $100.00 MORE FOR THE TWO.

I think echo is the way to go, I do not do many yards, but do the mowing lawn care for a fairly good sized cematary. I have purchased seprate spools and go into the job with six spools wound up. That is enought to keep the the machines running and not haveing to stop to respool. We do have to stop to refuel us and the machines.

Default What about the quick snaps

Are quick snaps good to use on a lawn care business or is the string the best way to go for weed wacking?

Trek46,

I think the string is the best way to go. Depending on the size of your engine you need to choose the correct size string. Heavier string will last longer but it wont spin as fast as the lighter. Whereas the lighter string spins faster but breaks easier. This is a personal preference.

I prefer the lighter string.

Default My Opinion (for what it's worth)

I've worked a few different places that each used different machines. So far I like the echo products best. They now make a high torque model (260T) that really puts out. It is a little heavy for someone to stay on all day but you wouldn't believe the things I've cut down with it. Be careful it will take siding off of a house in the blink of an eye.

Trek46,
The quick snaps are not worth the time. Tap and go heads are the ticket.

Is anyone familiar with the Weed Boss 4 cycle line trimmer? Especially curious about fuel capacity and the clutch drive.
